With reference to your question regarding ice formation in an absorption fridge we can inform you as follows:

In general, bear in mind that an absorption fridge cannot be compared with a domestic refrigerator, and it must be said that ice formation can never be completely prevented.

Below you will find a number of pre-cautions to prevent ice formation as much as possible:

*Check the door seal (by putting a flashlight in the cabinet and see if there is any light visible from the outside.
*Limit the number of times you open the fridge door as much as possible.
*Try to limit the opening time as much as possible.
*Check extra carefully after opening if the door closes properly again.
*Fill and arrange the refrigerator in such a way that air circulation is possible.
*Defrost the fridge manually, if necessary, with a regularity of 1x every 3 weeks.
*Keep the inside of the fridge as dry and clean as possible.
*Consider setting the fridge to 1 higher temperature level (warmer fin forms condensation and reduces the chance of ice forming);
*Keep the interior of the vehicle also as dry as possible, by means of heating for instance.
*Use closed containers for products that can exhaust moist (eg fruit or meat).
