We need you to make a test without the thermistor connected.
Suggestion is to use a data logger in the freezer to measure the temperature.
If a datalogger is not available please not down the temperature once every hour.
1. Put the fridge on cooling level 5 before you disconnect the thermostat.
2. Disconnect the thermostat on the cooling fins. You can see how to do this in the movie below.
3. The display will start to blink, but the fridge will run anyway.
4. Test it 4 hours on electricity and 4 hours on gas and see what happens.
