Are you confident the pre heat is being done?
After 20 minutes on high, with one shelf in the centre position, the cooker should reach approx. 220 – 230 deg.
Are you confident the pre heat is being done? Can you confirm the cooker door is closing correctly?
If not, heat will escape, resulting in longer cooking times.
Is the cooker overloaded?
In all cases care should be taken not to overload the oven cavity, thus allowing adequate spacing to ensure free circulation of heat. If the cooker is overloaded or large cooking trays used, the circulation of heat will be restricted resulting in longer cooking times.
Is the Thetford supplied oven shelf inserted correctly, with the guard to back of the cavity? Does the cooker door remain closed during use?
Every time the cooker door is opened the internal temperature will drop, the cooker will then time to get back to temperature. Please make allowances for this and limit the time the door is opened during cooking.
Customers should always be mindful that Caravan gas cookers have a less-even heat distribution than domestic, and fans assisted cookers.
If you still feel that there is an issue after taking all the above into consideration, Thetford will instruct and engineer to attend, however if the engineer on inspection finds the cooker is working to specification the charge will be passed on to Park.
